Francine Kaufman, MD

Dr. Francine R. Kaufman is the Chief Medical Officer of Senseonics, Inc. and a Distinguished Professor Emerita of Pediatrics and Communications at the University of Southern California. Previously, she was the Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Global Regulatory, Clinical and Medical Affairs at Medtronic Diabetes (2009-2019). She is an attending physician at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and previously served as head of the Center for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. Dr. Kaufman was president of the American Diabetes Association (2002-2003) and elected to the National Association of Medicine.  She has been the medical director of diabetes camps in Southern California, Ecuador and Haiti for over 30 years.
