
Hassan Azar, JD, MBA, MHA, MA
Hassan Azar has over twenty-five years of experience as a leader and innovator in global corporate health and wellness programs. After a distinguished career leading employer-based health programs he is now working as a consultant and advisor focusing on building next-generation health and wellness solutions.
Hassan has been a successful innovator in corporate health plans including most recently as Senior Vice President of Global Total Rewards at Jones Lang LaSalle, and previously as Senior Vice President of Total Rewards at US Foods. He served in similar roles for other multinational corporations including leading the health and wellness benefits functions at: Mondelez International, Kraft Foods, Delphi Automotive and The Ford Motor Company. He also worked as a Healthcare Consultant with Towers Perrin, at Blue Cross of Michigan creating provider network strategies, and at St. John Health System in Detroit building and managing outpatient clinics.
Hassan currently serves on the board of directors of the Employer Health Innovation Roundtable. He is also a member of the Health Affairs Journal Council on Health Care Spending and Value. He has previously served as a board member for The National Business Group on Health, The Midwest Business Group on Health, The Health Innovation Forum, The American Benefits Council and the NCQA Advisory Group. He is a frequent speaker at conferences regarding digital health solutions, employer benefits strategies, and best practices in patient engagement and communications.
Hassan has a Masters Degree in Health Services Administration, an MBA, an MA in Applied Communications and a BA from the University of Michigan. He also has a JD from the University of Detroit School of Law. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Health from the University of Michigan.
